Join somatic psychotherapist Miriam Brodersen for a free, in-person workshop to explore ways to navigate your feelings about the current planetary crisis. We’ll explore the psychological roots of the climate crisis, discuss strategies to help when overwhelmed, and practice using mindfulness to connect to feelings of gratitude, connection and purpose. Hosted by Eco+Pack @ NCSU, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and Toward Zero Waste.

Meet the presenter:

Miriam Brodersen, LCSW, CHT

Miriam Brodersen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Hakomi Therapist with 17 years of clinical experience. She specializes in mindfulness and body-based approaches to healing trauma, attachment, and relationship difficulties. A returned Peace Corps Volunteer who speaks four languages, Miriam brings a global perspective to her clinical work. She loves helping people work with their emotions about climate change and other global crises and sees this inner work as an important part of changing the world. Miriam earned a BA from Columbia University in 1999 and a Masters of Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007. She lives near the Eno River in Durham NC, with her partner and eight-year old daughter.
