The
Toward Zero Waste Makers will be hosting a table at the
Cary Downtown Farmers Market (CDFM) on March 11th from 9a-12p to further our partnership with the market and raise awareness of the Reusable Bag Project. This project turns leftover and repurposed fabric into reusable bags which vendors at the CDFM hand out for free to customers who don’t have their own reusable bag, reducing the usage of plastic bags. The Makers group hosts a monthly sewing meetup on the 3rd Thursday in Cary to create new bags as well as kits for people who want to sew them at home.
We hope to see other fellow Makers there in support and are excited to gain some new members as well. Bring your reusable bags and support your local vendors- see you there!

I will try to come help out at the Makers table at this event, but I am not a morning person, so you can’t count on me for definitely being there.
