Events:
Vermicomposting is a great way to compost indoors, keep food waste out of the landfill, while creating your own rich soil amendment. This workshop teaches you how to make and care for your own indoor worm bin, and harvest the finished compost.
Learn how to make your own indoor worm bin for composting food scraps indoors. It’s easy, inexpensive and pays you back with an endless supply of fabulous, fertile vermicompost for use in your potted plants or garden. The workshop starts at 6:30pm on the back patio of The Optimist – come early and grab a drink! One lucky attendee will take home the demonstration bin at the end of class. The workshop is free and open to the public so call your friends and join us. The Optimist will be serving a variety of wine, beer, tea and coffee for a relaxing and enjoyable evening of learning.
