This is a great way to connect with other Toward Zero Waste community members, reduce waste, and learn a new skill! Host, Nancy R, recently shared that “it’s not all about bags when we get together at our makers Makers Sewing Meetup. We share ideas and inspiration about health, family, creativity, earth care….”
We will have two sessions, 2-4pm and 6-9pm, and there will be a limit of 10 spaces for each session. You do not have to attend for the full session, so register even if you plan to come for an hour or two. Beginners are welcome and no equipment is required but you can bring what you have. You don’t have to be a sewist.
The Makers are focused on making reusable bags to replace plastic bags at the Downtown Cary Farmers Market and use leftover or repurposed fabric. You get to keep your first reusable bag.
Hope to see you there.
Makers sewing meetups are held every 3rd Thursday, scheduled through June, at the Christ The King Lutheran Church in Cary, NC.
